Newly elected officials must fulfill promises made to the public: CM Bhupesh Baghel
Raipur: The newly elected Bhilai Municipal Corporation office bearers including the Mayor and Chairman took charge of their office on Saturday. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel attended the programme.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said in his address “people have given you the opportunity to fulfill the dreams you have dreamt about the development of the municipal corporation. You all have to work on war footing to turn these dreams into reality and fulfill promises made to the public.”
Congratulating the Mayor Neeraj Pal on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the way Neeraj has worked for the development in Sector 5 area is commendable. “Shaheed-e-Azam” park has been built here in the name of Shaheed Bhagat Singh which is eye-pleasing. Beautiful work has been done here to preserve the memories of great men. He said that the Neeraj’s vision will help Bhilai reach new heights of development.
“Our government is moving ahead on the path of inclusive development, prioritizing development of urban areas along with rural areas. I have a clear belief that our rural economy is like the roots of a tree, and when we water the roots, the tree will also grow. A large amount of money has reached the market through loan waiver scheme, Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana, and Godhan Nyay Yojana, due to which the urban economy also flourished”, said the Chief Minister on the occasion.
On this occasion, Mayor Neeraj Pal in his address said that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has given a big responsibility and has expressed confidence. I will try my best to live up to this trust. Chairman Girwar Sahu also expressed his gratitude.
