Nearly half the adolescent population in age group 15 to 18 years have been vaccinated in Chhattisgarh, so far 8.14 lakh children vaccinated

Half of the adolescent population of the state (age group 15 to 18 years) in
Chhattisgarh has been vaccinated against COVID-19. COVID vaccine for
adolescents was introduced on January 3, and within 10 days, Chhattisgarh has
achieved 50 per cent of the adolescent vaccination target.

In
12 districts of the state, 50 per cent or more of the adolescent population in
given age group has been vaccinated, while 22 districts have achieved 40 per cent
of the adolescent vaccination target. Nearly 8.15 lakh adolescents were
vaccinated in the state till 3.30 pm on January 12.

In
Mungeli district, 74 per cent of the given target for adolescent vaccination
has been achieved.  Likewise, 65 per cent
of the adolescent population (age group 15 to 18 years) has been vaccinated in
Rajnandgaon, 64 per cent in Dhamtari, 62 per cent in Bemetara and Mahasamund,
58 per cent in Balod, 56 per cent in Kanker, 54 per cent in Durg, 53 per cent
in Gariaband, 52 per cent in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, 51 per cent in Bilaspur and
50 per cent of the adolescents in Raipur have been vaccinated.

A
total of 16 lakh 39 thousand 811 adolescents of this age group are to be
vaccinated across the state. Teenagers are enthusiastically showing up at the
vaccination booths set up in the districts and getting vaccinated. Adolescents
born in the years 2005, 2006 and 2007 are being vaccinated at these centers.

So
far 35, 910 teenagers (age group 15-18 years) have been vaccinated against COVID-19
in Mungeli district, 63,352 in Rajnandgaon, 31,114 in Dhamtari, 34,609 in
Bemetara, 40,295 in Mahasamund, 28,294 in Balod, 25,534 in Kanker, 56,569 in
Durg, 19,704 in Gariaband, 48,852 in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, 56,066 in Bilaspur,
72,065 in Raipur, 10,162 in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi and 8488 teenagers have been
vaccinated in Dantewada.

First
dose of anti-coronavirus vaccine has been provided 49, 675 teenagers in
Janjgir-Champa district, 26, 762 in Kabirdham, 16 thousand 812 in Kondagaon,
39, 911 in Raigarh, 16, 670 in Koriya, 20, 126 in Surajpur, 18, 828 in
Balrampur-Ramanujganj, 20, 702 in Jashpur, 19, 212 in Bastar, 19, 157 in Surguja,
25, 392 in Korba, 4126 in Sukma, 3747 in Bijapur and 1933 adolescents in
Narayanpur.
