MLA Shailesh Pandey takes up important issues with Revenue Minister Jaisingh Agarwal
Bilaspur:MLA Pandey demanded allotment of land to the societies at the earliest as Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had promised for the land during his last visit to Bilaspur.
Bilaspur city MLA Shailesh Pandey on Saturday held a marathon discussion with Chhattisgarh Revenue and Disaster Minister and Bilaspur district In-charge Jaisingh Agrawal on various developmental issues. MLA Pandey demanded early allotment of land to the societies in Bilaspur.
MLA Pandey reminded the Minister Jaisingh Agrawal the promise made by Chief Minsiter Bhupesh Baghel during Chief Minister’s recent visit to Bilaspur. The Chief Minister had invited various social organisations to meet him and assured them of providing land for community purpose on the request of the organisations.
After that, about 30 societies and organizations had applied for land allotment through the district administration, but till date the allotment of land has not been made to the societies and organizations. To be mentioned, MLA Pandey had raised the issue of land allotment of societies in the Chhattisgarh Assembly. On it, Revenue Minister Jaisingh Agrawal had said that the land would be allotted to the societies provided the applications are submitted to the district administration in the correct format. During the meeting with MLA Shailesh Pandey, Minister Jaisingh Agrawal said that 7 acres of government land should be identified in the city in which allotment of land can be done to the societies.
MLA Pandey brought the disputed land matter in Bilaspur to the notice of the Revenue Minister.
Apart from this, MLA Pandey raised objections over working style of the revenue officers. He demanded from Minister that strict action should be taken against the erring officers.
Often information is received through newspapers that people are doing round for years regarding enrollment, demarcation and revenue matters, yet their problems are not being resolved by the revenue officials.
