Members of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly paid humble tribute to the departed souls

Raipur: On the first
day of the winter session of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly on Monday,
members paid humble tribute to the departed souls of ex-members, martyr personnel
and other dignitaries.

Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat and the soldiers who died in the Air Force
helicopter crash on 8th December were paid courteous tribute at the assembly
today.

Soon after the
proceedings of the house started, Speaker of the Assembly Dr. Charandas Mahant
mentioned the names and introduction of the aforementioned departed souls and
paid tribute to all of them.

Paying tribute to the
departed souls, chief minister Bhupesh Baghel said that late Devvrat Singh,
Member of the Fifth Legislative Assembly, used to express his views in the
House with conviction and intensity. He was elected as MLA of the undivided
Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1995. He discharged his duties as a
Member of Parliament and Member of Legislative Assembly. Devvrat Singh was
a cheerful person. He was an active public representative, who consistently
worked for the development of his area. His death at a young age is an
irreparable loss to the country and the state.

Paying tribute to
former Lok Sabha member Gondil Prasad Anuragi, Baghel said that he always
strived for the upliftment of the society. He was also a good artist of Rahas.
His simplicity and generosity is an inspiration to all of us. Paying homage to
former Minister of State Rajinder Pal Singh Bhatia, Chief Minister said that
during the Question Hour in the House, he used to put forth the problems of
development of his area effectively and he used to persuasively get the
development works approved.

In his tribute to
former Parliamentary Secretary Yudhveer Singh Judev, Chief Minister said that
his demise at such a young age is extremely sad. He was a rising politician. He
was known for his humility and compassion. Judev actively worked for the
development of the state and his region. Paying tribute to the former Minister
of State of undivided Madhya Pradesh Moolchand Khandelwal, chief minister said
that he was a senior politician who worked hard in the field of social welfare
and politics. Paying homage to Manuram Kutch, a former member of the undivided
Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, chief minister said that he was an MLA
from Bastar region, known for his friendly nature and his contribution towards
the development of his area.

Chief minister Baghel
while paying homage to the country’s first CDS General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika
Rawat and the martyred soldiers in the Air Force helicopter crash said that the
incident of December 8 shook the entire country. His death is an irreparable
loss to the country. Bipin Rawat was a good strategist and a popular officer in
the army.
