Janpad, district panchayat office bearers meet Singhdeo, put suggestions for development of panchayats

Raipur:Members of Janpad and District PanchayatPresidents Association met with Panchayat and Rural Development Minister T S Singhdeo in Raipur to express their gratitude for the minister’s announcement in the interest of janpad and district panchayats during the Convention of janpad presidents, vice presidents and members.

The panchayat representatives on the occasion put their suggestion before the Minister for strengthening the systems in panchayats. The representatives urged for increase in the honorarium of janpad president, vice presidents and members, provide medical facility to them, bring haat-bazaar, pond under the control of janpad to increase the income.

The Minister gave a patient hearing to the panchayat representatives and said that the allotment of funds to the panchayats depends upon the budget provision. The Minister assured that he will put their suggestions before the chief minister.
