Parade Ground in Raipur on the occasion of the New Year’s.
his warm New Year wishes to Chhattisgarh police and Jawans of the paramilitary force,
Baghel said “Both soldiers and farmers are being praised in Chhattisgarh
state. People are dealing with the corona crisis for the last two years and I
hope this New Year brings good health and prosperity for all.”
praise on the jawans for their hard work, Mr. Baghel said “We can sleep
peacefully because our braveheart jawans guard us even during extremely cold
weather”. He also lauded the works being done by the police in
Naxal-affected areas of the state.
added that Naxalism is both a social and political evil and not just a matter
of law and order. We are opening camps in the Naxal-nest and now the influence
of Naxals has been bought down to a great extent with the increasing public
confidence in policing. With the consistent efforts of the police, the tribals and
villagers now consider them as their friend besides strongly believing that police
is safeguarding them. Naxalism is now confined to just few pockets in Bastar
which was once a hotbed of Maoist-terror, Baghel said.
Chief Minister also interacted with the commandos of Danteshwari Fighters and
asked about their experiences. DSP Asharani said that the police working
towards boosting confidence among the public in police by celebrating with them
in good times and supporting them during bad ones. This is the reason why
people are not opposing setting up camps. Recently, a camp has been opened
in Nahadi village where about 20 boreholes have been dug to make drinking water
available to the citizens.
Korba District Force constable Sandeep Pandey told Chief Minister that weekly
holidays are being given as per your instructions and the Korba police has also
started resolving public issues by organizing “Jandarshan”. In our
district, youth are being connected with the police by running the programme
named ‘Khaki Ke Rang School Ke Sang’ as per your intentions.
Appreciating the efforts of Chhattisgarh Police Chief Minister said “Our police personnel
are being praised all over the country today. They took immediate action and
nabbed the ones who made derogatory comments regarding Father of Nation Mahatma
Gandhi. Our police is continuously receiving awards by the Government of India.
Recently, Chhattisgarh Police has been ranked second in the country for better
work by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).”
the occasion, Chief Minister launched Chhattisgarh Police’s “Abhivyakti”
app for women’s safety. Soon after a woman clicks on the SOS in case of
emergency, a Dial 112 team will reach the woman’s location and provide all
necessary assistance. At present this facility is available through Dial 112 in
Raipur, Rajnandgaon, Kabirdham, Mahasamund, Durg, Bilaspur, Korba, Raigarh,
Janjgir, Surguja, and Jagdalpur. Besides, a woman in distress will also be able
