If we work for the overall benefit of citizens, then good results are bound to come

Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today attended the IAS Conclave organized at a private hotel in Naya Raipur. On this occasion, he congratulated the officers for their commendable work in various fields.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, chief minister “You all have a vital role in the implementation and monitoring of government plans and I am pleased to see the growth achieved by the state in various fields” . He added that all the government schemes created till now are good but their implementation is very important for the schemes to be fruitful. 

He said that “good work can be done by taking people into confidence, it is very important to win the trust of the people to implement the development plans on the ground level. If you work with the citizens and for the citizens,take them into your confidence, good results are bound to come . Each village is a republic in itself. Work with them with faith and people will support you.”


Emphasizing on the rural economy, the Chief Minister further said that villages should be equipped with various facilities targeted at the holistic development of the rural populace, with a strong rural economy, more employment can be generated in villages. Villages can be created as centres of mass production and the products can be sold in cities. The Chief Minister gave the example of a saying prevalent in Chhattisgarhi “Boliyya ke jillo becha jaathe, aau nai bolliya ke channa ghalo nai bichaaye” which means somebody who possesses the art of selling, can sell any miniscule product but  those who are ignorant of this art cannot even sell their valuables.

Referring to Rewa of Arang and Tarighat of Patan area, the Chief Minister said that the history of Chhattisgarh is about 2000 years old. In the past, Chhattisgarh was a big trading center and a large administrative system was prevalent here. At present, there is a need to carry forward this history and there is a need to carry forward the method of the ancestors.

Addressing the conclave, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain said that right advice should always be given to the elected public representatives by the IAS officers. Elected public representatives have a better understanding of the functioning of the officials. IAS Association Chhattisgarh President Manoj Kumar Pingua said that we shall work with team spirit and use positive energy in the progress of the state. Pingua said that the Chief Minister has come to our conclave today wearing a closed neck black coat, which is our dress code, this has increased the enthusiasm of all of us. He assured the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on behalf of the association that all of us would continue to work honestly in the interest of Chhattisgarh. 

Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel visited the exhibition put up by the IAS officers at the IAS Conclave, in which the paintings, artworks made by officers and the books written by them were displayed.


Retired IAS Anil Swarup, Suyogya Mishra, BKS Ray, Vivek Dhand, N Baijendra Kumar, Shishupal Sori, Sushil Trivedi, Indira Mishra along with IAS officers from all over the state were present on the occasion.
