Raipur:State government has appointed IAS Chandan Tripathi as Project Director of Chhattisgarh Inclusive Rural and Accelerated Agriculture Growth (CHIRAAG). So far, Chandan had been working on the project as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Government had promoted Chandan to the post of Director after relieving from the post of COO.
IAS Chandan has also several other departments such as Director (Veterinary), Additional CEO of NRDA. CHIRAAG is a World Bank project and on it is already underway in half a dozen districts of Chhattisgarh. Funds to the tune of Rs 1735 crore has been sanctioned under the project for a period of six years and it is expected that the fund will increase in further. It is to be mentioned, CHIRAAG is the ambitious project for Chhattisgarh and the IAS will decide on the use of funds.
