Generic medicine shops to be opened in 4 municipalities of Gariyaband dist

Raipur: Under the Chief Minister’s Affordable Medicine Scheme, generic medicines will be available at affordable rates to the people in the four municipalities of the district, Gariyabad, Rajim, Fingeshwar and Chhura. 

District Public Service Society has issued a tender to the RFP in this regard. For this, the urban body will provide a shop to the drug licensee at the rate of Rs 2 per square foot.

Municipal Officer Sandhwa Verma said that under the Chief Minister’s Affordable Medicine Scheme, common citizens would get 251 types of generic medicines at affordable rates. Apart from this, medicines of Forest Department and Sanjeevani will also be available in these shops at MRP or reasonable price. Apart from this, 27 types of other surgical items like plasters, bandages, catheters, surgical gloves will also be sold from here.

These shops to be opened under the Chief Minister’s Affordable Medicine Scheme will be operated near the district hospital in ward number one under the municipality Gariyaband.
