Raipur: Four jawans
including a head constable were injured in a blast in CRPF special train on
platform number 2 of Raipur Railway Station on Saturday morning.

They all were rushed to the hospital immediately. The head constable has been admitted to the hospital,
while 3 jawans who have received minor injuries were discharged after first aid.

As per police, the
accident happened around 6:30 am during the loading of goods when a box carrying
explosives slipped out of hand and got exploded. Head constable Chavan Vikas
Laxman, constables Ramesh Lal, Ravindra Kar, and Dinesh Kumar Paikra were
injured in the accident.

Vikas Laxman has been admitted to Narayana Hospital in Raipur. Surgeon Dr Neeraj
Pandey told that Chauhan has injuries in his back, arms, legs, and head. There
is a fracture in the head which will need surgical intervention. His condition
is out of danger.

CRPF DIG Rajkumar, who
reached the hospital to see the injured jawan, told that the blast took place
during transportation. All the jawans are out of danger. The train was going to
Nagpur. This is not a case of negligence; such an accident can happen while
carrying any goods.

CRPF 211th Battalion
Commandant Sanjeev Ranjan said that after placing the arms ammunition box, the
fuse box of the ammunition exploded near the toilet of the bogie. A case has
been registered at GRP Railway Station Raipur. The head constable is undergoing
treatment. The doctors of CRPF have also reached. His CT scan has been done. An
inquiry has also been ordered in the matter.
