Food Minister reprimand procurement centre director at Mandir Hasaud for damage of paddy
Raipur:The Minister asks Collector of Raipur over phone to take necessary steps for the protection of paddy.
Chhattisgarh Food and Civil Supplies Minister Amarjeet Bhagat carried out a surprise inspection of paddy procurement centre in Mandir Hasaud amid adverse weather condition. Seeing the poor arrangements at the procurement centre here, the Minister expressed anger and directed the officials present on the occasion to take action against the procurement centre director.
Minister Bhagat decided to conduct surprise inspections of paddy procurement centersacross the state so that the arrangements at paddy procurement centers would be known.
Meanwhile, the Minister called the Raipur District Collector from the procurement centre in MAndir Hasaud and the Collector to make proper arrangements at all the paddy procurement centers in the district and protection of paddy from rain.
Prior to the surprise inspection, the Minister held a meeting of top officials of Food and Civil Supplies Corporation to review the arrangements for the protection of the procured paddy in the paddy procurement centers in bad weather conditions.
The Bhagat directed the departmental officers to take appropriate action against the directors of the paddy procurement centers if they are found indulging in carelessness. The Minister said that he will reach any procurement centre at any point of time without prior information. He also said that strict action would be taken against the people responsible if any mismanagement is found in the procurement centres. Minister Bhagat also said that proper arrangements are being made to ensure that the Congress government will not let the farmers’ hard-earned crop get spoiled.
Significantly, Chief Minister Bhupesh Bagheland Food Minister Amarjeet Bhagat are constantly reaching different areas of the state for surprise inspection of paddy procurement centers and taking stock of the arrangements. Minister Bhagat on Wednesday inspected the Mandir Hasaud Paddy Purchase Center, as well as Village Nara, Village Jarod and Village Godhi Paddy Procurement Center.
