Ambikapur. Amarjeet Bhagat, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister of Chhattisgarh Government, inaugurated the newly constructed sub-divisional office building of the Public Works Department in Sitapur. The building, built at the cost of around Rs 14 lakh. The Food Minister inspected the various rooms of the building and directed the officials to complete the construction works in a timely and quality manner.
The Food Minister said that a network of roads has to be laid in the Sitapur area with attention to quality. At present, the roads are bad or have potholes. He said that paddy procurement is peaceful in Chhattisgarh as the government is farmer-friendly. Farmers are getting the right price for paddy. The government will also give six thousand rupees annually under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhumiless Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana for labourers who do not have agricultural land. For this registration is going on in all the panchayats. The Chief Minister has also announced to waive off the loans taken by women self-help groups. It is a great relief to the women of Self Help Groups. He said that given the odd situation of the Covid period, arrangements were made for free rice from PDS from April to November so that the people of the state do not face any shortage of food grains. There will be no manipulation in rice distribution. On receipt of the complaint, the concerned will take action. Open the shop as per the rules of PDS shop operators and ensure the distribution of rice to everyone.
