Covid-19 cases among school children rise as schools reopen in many parts
Raipur:Covid-19 pandemic seems to have raised its heads with the reopening of schools across the country. As the cases of Covid-19 declined considerably in the recent past, many state governments, including Chhattisgarh, decided to resume offline classes with full capacity. It was reported that cases of corona positive among children coming to schools is increasing with every passing day raising an alarm. Odisha had reported the highest 70 cases of corona. Similarly, Rajasthan also reported considerable number of cases.
11 children found Covid positive in Jaipur school
As many as 11 children of Jayshree Pediwal School in Jaipur, Rajasthan were been tested positive for Corvid-19. The administration closed the school with immediate effect.
28 students got corona in Telangana
A Government Residential School in Khammam district of Telangana on Sunday reported 28 girl students taking ill and all of them were found to be corona positive. On getting information, the parents reached the school and appealed to the administration to send their daughters back home. The Health Department has decided to conduct a mass covid test of all school girls and staff including teachers. 575 students reside in this residential school. Telangana Health Minister T Harish Raocalled the district health officials and enquired about the health condition of the infected girl students. He ordered the officials to provide better medical treatment and take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of corona.
More than 70 school students found Covid positive in Odisha
As many as 53 girls from a government-aided high school in Odisha’s Sundargarh district and 22 MBBS students from Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla in Sambalpur district were tested positive for COVID in the last three days. The school official said that special measures have been taken for the treatment of the students. Health condition was normal, while the educational institution has been closed for a week. According to the headmaster of the school, the corona infected students are from classes 8, 9 and 10, and most of them were tested for Covid-19 after showing symptoms of cold and cough. 22 students of VIMSAR of Burla have been admitted to Covid Hospital. Officials suspect that the infection may have spread after the annual function of the institute organised recently.
