All the representatives attended the meeting agreed on liquor ban. However, they were not in favour of a ban all of a sudden.
The representatives reached a consensus that there should be a study tour to study the outcomes of the policies adopted by different states on liquor ban and its effect.
The heads of social organisations said in the meeting that keeping in mind the public health and socio-economic and family needs, liquor ban is necessary, but liquor ban should not be implemented suddenly as people addicted to liquor will consume will consume illicit liquor which may be poisonous for health.
Therefore, initiative to ban liquor in the state only after considering all the aspects and ban should be effected in phase manner.
