CM launches Direct Building Permit System, Now building permit will be issued within seconds
Raipur:
Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the online direct
building permit system for construction of buildings on residential plots of up
to 500 sq.m (5382 sq.ft) in urban areas, in a program organized at his
residence office today. Under this system, building permits will be issued
without human intervention.
Baghel
said that we have consistently and dedicatedly worked for 3 years for the
development of villages and cities of the state, and now we are adding one more
facility to this list. This newly-introduced building permit system will
expedite the infrastructure development in cities of the state. This system
would offer an effective solution to the existing problems in the permit
issuance process. Building permit issuance is an important process for the
citizens of the state who want to build their own house, but earlier this process
was complicated, time-taking and not easily accessible, required map approval
from several officials. But now this entire process will be free from human
intervention and will be completed in shorter duration. If the applicant has
all the required documents, then getting the permit to build a house would be a
matter of second.
Considering
the inconvenience faced by the common people, Chief Minister gave instructions
to the officers concerned 15 days ago to solve the existing problems. And as
per Chief Minister’s instructions, the department has completed the work within
15 days. Chief Minister congratulated the department and everyone involved in
the process of developing this system. He also congratulated the citizens for
this brand new facility which will help them build the house of their dream in
a shorter time period. On this occasion, Chief Minister issued the first
building permit from the system to the applicant Chetan Dev Sahu, a resident of
Daldalseoni, Raipur.
Departmental
Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria, in his address to the programme, said that all
the existing problems have been addressed in this newly implemented online
building permit system. Separate dashboards have been made in this system for
the public representatives, commissioners and engineers, on which the
applications received on a daily basis are displayed along with the information
about approval, permissions and pending cases. The commissioners, construction
officers, building inspectors and other officers of all the municipal
corporations have been trained to use the new direct building permit system,
through a state-level workshop. In this new system, we have reposed trust on
the citizens and permission is being issued only on the basis of documents and
affidavit submitted by the applicant.
Chief
Minister has appealed the people of the state to take advantage of this service
in the right way and get building permit issued only on the basis of correct information.
During the program, a presentation was made by the Departmental Secretary Alarmelmangai
D. regarding the permission system.
