Raipur. In the conclave organized in the National Tribal Dance Festival, Gaurav Dwivedi, Advisor to the Government of Chhattisgarh, said that the Chhattisgarh Film Policy got passed on September 8. The policy will help in bringing out the richness, natural resources and heritage of the state. Employment opportunities for the local people will increase, and areas rich in natural resources and the beauty of the state will be promoted.


Gaurav Dwivedi in a discussion with producer Avinash Das said that the government will provide facilities to register films through a single window. There are provisions for producers who employ the local people. The school will run on local artists, technicians, and other businesses related to film production like light, sound etc. Students will also receive scholarships.

Chhattisgarh government will allot 115 acres of land for the film industry. Film production is already underway. The state government has supported the daily wage workers associated with film production in the odd circumstances of the Covid infection. Provision is underway to register the film production workers so that they may receive the benefit of health insurance and other schemes.

Filmmaker Avinash Das said that Chhattisgarh’s film policy is a new opportunity for filmmakers. The natural resources and heritage here have been deprived of the screen of the film. People from other genres, including filmmakers, storytellers will also be born here; to write stories suited to natural beauty. On this occasion, public relations commissioner Dipanshu Kabra, government officials, employees were present.
