Chhattisgarh to run for ‘self-respect and pride’
Raipur: Thousands of people
will run for ‘self-respect and price as Chhattisgarh government is organizing a
runs titled ‘Run for Chhattisgarh Pride’ on Tuesday morning to mark the
completion of the three successful years of the state government. The state
government is completing three years on December 17. Various events have been planned to mark the
occasion and ‘Run for CG Pride’ is one of these events on Tuesday morning.
Chief Minister Bhupesh
Baghel will flag off the Run at 6.30 am from Gandhi Udyan in Raipur. Starting
from Bhagat Singh Chowk, this race will pass through two different routes and
culminate at its starting point.
The race is mainly
divided into two categories, in which a 5 kilometer race will be held for `
men’s and women’s. It will include people in the age group of 14 to 60 years.
For the participants of this class, Jaistambh Chowk, Kotwali Chowk, PWD Chowk
(Mazar Chowk), Income Tax Colony Tiraha and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk have
been made check points. In which first prize of Rs 21000, second prize of Rs
15000, and third prize of Rs 11000 will be given to the first three winners. A category
has been kept for senior citizens and children below 14 years of age.
Participants below 14 years and above 60 years of age can participate in this
category. The race will cover Collector Chowk, Raj Bhavan Chowk, Income Tax
Colony Tiraha and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk. be Rs 11000 will be given as
first prize to the winners, the second prize will be Rs 7000 and the third
prize is Rs 5000.
