Chhattisgarh Air NCC Cadet NiveditaSharma to become Flying Officer in IAF

Raipur:A cadet of 3 CG Air NCC, Nivedita Sharma, has been selected in the final merit list to join the Air Force Academy, Hyderabad. Group Commander NCC Group Raipur, Brig A K Das VSM, congratulated Nivedita Sharma for her selection and felicitated her along with her parents on Tuesday. He added that her selection into the elite Indian Air Force will motivate the youth and other cadets of Chhattisgarh region. Col VS Shikarwar, Col M Dhankar, Commanding Officer 3 CG Air NCC, Wing Commander Rajat Gupta and Associate NCC Officer, Dr VK Choubey werealso present for the ceremony along with some cadets of Air NCC.

Nivedita Sharma passed her 12th from Durg, won the first prize in an international drawing competition in Thailand in 2016 and did well in all camps and exams held during her stint in Air NCC. Owing to her interest in the Defence, she gave up her CA exams to take part in a parajumping camp held in Agra. Her enthusiasm and zeal to keep herself fit and motivated greatly assisted her towards the selection into the IAF. She excelled in AFCAT exam and SSB interview and got selected to undergo training to become an officer in the Accounts Branch of IAF. She will be reporting to Air Force Academy on 15 Jan 22.
