According to their AIIMS medical report, there is an injection approved by the USFDA for the disease, although there is not enough data about its long-term safety and effectiveness. The AIIMS team was ready for treatment based on the USFDA approved drug if financial assistance could be given. About $2.125 million (about Rs 16 crore) is required to purchase this drug.

SECL required the approval of Coal India Limited for sanctioning this medical expenditure which the Chairman Coal India gave on 16.11.2021. Public enterprises have been coming forward in the treatment of this type of “rare disease” which is fortuitous.
