Raipur. A new team of Anti Corruption Bureau of Chhattisgarh is preparing to take over. The transfer of its SP and ASP has now been halted. Regarding this, the state government issued an order on Monday evening. There are names of many officers on the list; who were removed from the Anti Corruption Bureau and sent to different districts. Many inspectors and constables have been posted in the Anti Corruption Bureau from different districts.
Anti-Corruption Bureau SP Pankaj Chandra and Additional SP Amrita Sori got transferred to Mungeli and Dongargarh following the state government’s order. The government has rescinded the order. Thirteen inspectors and constables have been shifted from the Anti-Corruption Bureau and sent to the police headquarters; 37 new employees are taking their place in the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
Last year, the Anti Corruption Bureau came into the limelight when the ACB team raided its own old chief IPS GP Singh. The police found jewellery and property papers worth crores of rupees there. At present, the investigation is going on in this matter. At present, GP Singh is in the Central Jail Raipur, and the Anti Corruption Bureau itself is investigating the case against him.
