Raipur: Bhartiya Kisan Union national president Rakesh Tikait on Tuesday threw a challenge for media houses that the capital of those states, governments of which are ignoring farmers’ interests, will see the situation of Delhi. Addressing thousands of farmers at a rally in Rajim here on Tuesday, Tikait said that people should boycott cold drinks. The income of farmers/labourers of this country will increase only when the income of MNCs declines.

Tikait warned that no movement will yield results if the Delhi movement by farmers is failed. He said that the companies are being sold and the country is being divided in the name of caste and religion. The present policy of the centre will lead to a crisis of bread in the country, he said.


Earlier, talking to media at the airport, Tikait said that BJP only believes in selling national property. Half of the nation has been sold by the centre. He termed the three agriculture laws a curse for the nation. Medha Patkar said that the law should be rolled back and government should be uprooted.


Yogendra Yadav said that the farmers’ movement is equally successful in Chhattisgarh like Delhi, Punjab and Haryana and it is evident from the gathering at Rajim.


Mandis being sold in Madhya Pradesh
