Cabinet approves relaxation in domicile rule for appointment of assistant teachers in Atmanand schools of Surguja, Bastar division, & Korba district

In a major relief to candidates interested in teaching students of Swami
Atmananda English Medium Schools, Chhattisgarh Cabinet on Monday decided to
relax the rule of domicile in case of recruitment of Assistant Teachers in the
English medium schools of Bastar and Surguja divisions, as well as Korba
district. So far, eligible candidates of Bastar and Surguja divisions and
Korba districts had been recruited in the schools of the divisions and the
district. The decision has paved the way for the eligible candidates from other
divisions/districts to work in the aforementioned divisions and the district.

The
Cabinet has also given a go-ahead to the demand of private school owners on the exemption in road tax for their buses on the ground buses were not plying
during the Covid lockdown period.  The
Cabinet exempted the tax from July 1, 2020, to December 31, 2021.

The
Cabinet also approved Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill 2021 for the presentation
of the 2nd Supplementary Budget 2021-22 in the winter session of the
Assembly commencing from December 13.

Making
an amendment to the Chhattisgarh Backward Class Commission Act 1995, the
Cabinet approved a proposal for the post of vice president in the Commission.

The
Chief Minister, Bhupesh Baghel, announced to give an incentive of Rs 120 per
quintal to rice millers on custom milling for the Khari year 2021-22. The state
government will have to bear the additional burden of Rs 945 crore due to this
increase in incentive. The total expenditure on incentives has been estimated at
Rs 1295 crore. It was decided to compensate this amount from the additional
expenditure fund of Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Federation. The
rice millers who will continue custom milling for minimum four months will be
eligible for the incentive money. It was also decided to abolish the slab system
and given 50 per cent of the incentive at the time of custom milling and the
remaining 50 per cent after the deposit of rice under central pool.

It
was decided to distribute additional food grains free of cost apart from the
Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana on the ration cards issued under the
Chhattisgarh Food and Nutrition Security Act. On this, the expenditure of Rs
223.58 crore will be reimbursed to Chhattisgarh State Civil Supplies
Corporation under the Chief Minister Food Assistance Scheme.

It
was decided in the meeting to give departmental land bank on rebate under Chhattisgarh
State Industrial Policy 2019-24 to the entrepreneurs belonging to Scheduled
Castes / Scheduled Tribes, mentioned in the backward development block category
“D.

Industries
based on plant and machinery engaged in solar power generation were included in
the category of high priority. Industry based on wood produced on private land
was included in the priority industry. The list of MSME Service Category
Enterprises was approved under Industrial Policy.

A
provision of up to Rs3 crore has been made for the expansion of private
industrial parks to be set up in the state.
