Bastar girl Payal Panigrahi in ‘Sooryavanshi’

Raipur:A daughter from Naxal-hit Bastar district of Chhattisgarh has impressed Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar through her brief but powerful performance in Rohit Shetty movie ‘Sooryavanshi’. Payal Panigrahi, who has made light, camera, and action a part of life, is in the process of strengthening her place in the glamour world.

Even as her character in Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Ranveer Singh, as a journalist is brief but she has been able to draw the attention of one and all in the film unit.

Payal was selected for the role in the new release by the team of the film director Rohit Setty. The entire film has been shot in Hyderabad. Payal had an opportunity to learn a lot about acting from Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, and other members of the film unit. Payal, who has proved her mettle in many films and ad films in the South industry, has studied filmmaking in a Delhi-based institute. Payal has also worked in many departments of film production as well as in the field of acting. According to Payal, she has been able to reach where she is due to the immense support from her family. She hoped that many daughters from Chhattisgarh will be encouraged by her and appealed to people to support and standby their daughters to help them fulfill their dream.
