Basic teachings of Mahatma Gandhi will now be included in the syllabus of class 5th to 12th in Chhattisgarh
Raipur: On the instructions of chief
minister Bhupesh Baghel, now the new generation will be connected with the
basic teachings of Mahatma Gandhi in Chhattisgarh.
To make children aware of Gandhiji’s
ideals and principles, these will be included in the academic curriculum of
classes 5th to 12th. Under this, the children of urban as well as rural areas
will be given education as per the intention of Gandhiji.
For this, chief minister Bhupesh Baghel
has instructed the chief secretary that the state government should ensure that
education for self-reliance is imparted to the children along with their
all-around development.
On the initiative of the chief minister, to fulfill the
concept of a self-reliant village of Gandhiji, school children will be told about
Narva, Garuva, Ghuruwa, and Bari under the government’s ambitious Suraji Gaon
Yojana in detail by taking a tour of the village. This will enable school
children to get knowledge about the rural economy as well as on topics like water
conservation and soil conservation and will help in realizing the dream of the self-reliant village.
