Asia Art Festival Director Ishaan Bhalla meets CM Bhupesh Baghel, says Chhattisgarh is going to be the new creative capital of India

Raipur: Ishaan Bhalla,
an Indian Arts Ambassador and Director of Asia Art Festival met Chhattisgarh chief
minister Bhupesh Baghel in Raipur.  

Asia Art
Festival (AAF), an initiative committed to the provision of a global
platform to Indian artists, has announced its special edition in the heart of
Chhattisgarh, Raipur. The festival is planned in the month of March. It is a
confluence of myriad creative sectors such as art, craft, theater, dance and
music. The event aims to encourage the innovative spirit of the young artists
of our nation and focus towards emerging opportunities and challenges in the
Indian economy. 

“I congratulate you for
this initiative and we are honored to host Asia Art Festival 2022 in the Capital
of Chhattisgarh”, said chief minister Bhupesh Baghel.

“At AAF we are
investing in technology and are coming up with something unique and
exceptional. Everything is being done keeping all precautions advised by the
government. Apart from bringing business to artists, art can also be used as an
opportunity to raise funds for several charities and create a social impact.
Chhattisgarh and specially Raipur is the fastest developing city of the nation.
I am truly inspired by the cultural panorama of its people. The audience of
Chhattisgarh is very warm and welcoming. Chhattisgarh is going to be the new
creative capital of India in the coming years”, said Director Asia Art
Festival, Ishaan Bhalla.

the ‘Gadhbo Nava Chhattisgarh’ thought, and understanding that change
begins within one’s self, we firmly believe the current times call for a
conscious effort and thinking towards a better and sustainable future. It was
my immense delight to meet the chief minister. We discussed about the business
of art, the future possibilities and growing art market in Chhattisgarh”,
he added.

Asia Art Festival is an
endeavor to conserve our precious heritage and encourage the budding artist by
providing them a larger platform. It aims to empower the artists, craftsmen,
artisans of the Indian textile sector and work towards bridging the gap between
the maker and the buyer and also inculcating a sense of pride in a made in
India product, thereby boosting the Indian art and craft industry which has been
severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition to
furthering the cause of Indian arts and artists, the festival operates with the
mission of furthering the business of arts in India and creating a global
platform for artists from diverse backgrounds. It aims to create awareness
about arts education and increase public participation through mobilization of
resources, such as government schemes, sponsorships and direct investments.
