55 children are being treated at Surajpur District Hospital, none of them Covid-19 positive

Raipur: As many as 55 children have been
admitted to the Surajpur District Hospital for treatment of various diseases
and physical problems in the last three days. All these children are being
treated in separate beds and of these children is corona infected. 

According to the information received
from the Surajpur Chief Medical and Health Officer over 37 children in the age
group of zero to three years suffering from pneumonia are being treated in the
district hospital. There four newborns are being treated for congenital
jaundice and five newborns for low birth weight. Three children of one month of
age are being treated for birth asphyxia and four children of three to eight
years for sickle cell anemia and one child of 12 years of age each are
undergoing treatment for thalassemia and urine infection. Four children have
been put on oxygen support due to severe pneumonia.
