Raipur:In order to promote entrepreneurship among people of other backward classes, Chhattisgarh Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister BhupeshBaghel approved the draft of amendment in the Chhattisgarh State Industrial Policy 2019-24. As per amendment, 10 percent plots will be reserved for the citizens of other backward classes in industrial areas and the land will be provided at the rate of 10 percent of the land premium rate and at the rate of one percent land rent.

In yet another major decision, keeping in mind the requirement of large quantity of jute bags for the procurement of paddy in the state, the Cabinet announced special investment incentive package for Jute Bag Manufacturing Project under the State Industrial Policy 2019-24.

 

Similarly, in order to encourage the establishment of large, mega and ultra mega industries in the state of Chhattisgarh, it was decided to give a special incentive package for Electric Vehicle and Lithium Ion Batteries Sector.

Under the Kaushalya Matritva Yojana, permission was given to determine the eligible beneficiaries and implement the scheme for providing one-time assistance of Rs 5000 on the birth of second child girl child to the eligible beneficiaries in the socio-economic census.

The Cabinet decided to eligible candidates of local residents will be given employment against the vacancies arising in the third and fourth grade posts of the district level and division level of Bastar and Surguja divisions under the fifth schedule

It was decided to increase the rebate of 10 percent to 40 percent instead of 30 percent in the guideline rates of properties of municipal corporation and their investment area. Similarly, it was decided to increase the rate of registration fee from 4 percent to 5 percent in the mentioned area and this relaxation and enhancement will be effective from the date of issue of departmental notification till March 31, 2022.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana(Gramin), Chhattisgarh Rural Housing Corporation Limited was given permission for the financial year 2019-20 by way of a loan of Rs 762.81 crore as government guarantee.

The draft of amendment in Chhattisgarh Regularisation of Unauthorized Development Ordinance-2022 and Chhattisgarh Regularization of Unauthorized Development Rules-2002 was approved.

The draft of amendment in Chhattisgarh Transport (Forest Produce) Rules-2001 was approved. The amendment will simplify the process of felling and transportation of trees located in the private sector under the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme, on the basis of the recommendation of the Interdepartmental Committee. 32 types of wood and firewood were freed from the requirement of transport permit. Along with this, all the species of bamboo owned by a person are now being transferred to Chhattisgarh in place of 9 districts. All the districts of the state were exempted from the requirement of transport permit.

 

In the Commercial Tax Department, it was decided to give relaxation of 3 years in the upcoming promotion on January 1, 2022, for promotion to the post of Deputy Registrar, High Division Registration Clerk and Record Keeper.

The proposal to amend the structure of Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) Raipur Smart City Limited and Bilaspur Smart City Limited constituted under Smart City Mission was approved.
