CM Bhupesh Baghel pays tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his death anniversary

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paid floral tributes to the portrait of India’s
first deputy prime minister and home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his
71st death anniversary, at his residence office today.

“Vallabhbhai
Patel played a pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle. He showed his
exemplary leadership skills in many major movements that made India
independent. He played a key role in the integration of princely states with the
Union of India after Independence from the British. An iron will and nerves of
steel earned him the tag of ‘Iron Man of India’ ” said the chief minister on
this occasion.
