Rajnandgaon Police organises one day awareness campaign and workshop on “Abhivyakti” app.

Raipur. A one-day women awareness “Abhivyakti” program “Sashakt – Nari, Strong Society” was organized today at Padma Shri Govindram Nirmalkar Auditorium of Rajnandgaon District Headquarters on 25.02.2022. The chief guest of this program was Hon’ble Tej Kunwar Netam, President of State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. OP Paul, Inspector General of Police, Durg Range, headed the program and it had special guests like Padma Shri Shamshad Begum, Padma Shri Phoolbasan Bai Yadav and Hema Deshmukh, Mayor Rajnandgaon. Santosh Singh, Superintendent of Police, Suresha Choubey, Additional Superintendent of Police (IUCAW) and other administrative/police officers of the district were present as well. Women and child development department workers, sanitation workers, 600-700 women including school-college girls and prominent journalists of the city were present.
The program was started by lighting the lamp. An enchanting dance was presented by the children and the women constables in the program. Suresha Choubey, Additional Superintendent of Police (IUCAW) conducted the stage. In the welcome speech, Santosh Singh, Superintendent of Police Rajnandgaon, gave information about the Abhivyakti app. The app allows immediate help on your complaint without coming to the police station. The women were also made aware about their rights, protection, and cyber security. The program also spread awareness regarding equality and education and action against illegal drugs, and campaign “Nijat” was explained in detail. The guests were also told to like Rajnandgaon Police, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram Id. Special guests Padma Shri Shamshad Begum, Padma Shri Phoolbasan Bai Yadav and Hema Deshmukh Mayor also spoke about women empowerment, women’s rights in detail and Chief Guest Hon’ble Tej Kunwar Netam in her address, told the importance of education to empower women. At the end of the program, Mr. O.P. Paul in his speech of gratitude, said that police are always there for security and cooperation, along with ensuring the safety of women. The police will address their complaints promptly.
