Bilaspur people are watching this and they will give befitting reply, MLA Pandey
Bilaspur:An official event organized at Prarthana Bhawan in Bilaspur to mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and transfer the amount to the beneficiaries under the Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana has become the talk of the town for alleged insult to Bilaspur city MLA Shailesh Pandey.
The MLA had to leave the event in the midst of the proceedings as he felt suffocated by the way he was treated by the organizers. It was an official event and officials of the concerned departments were present. As per protocols, an elected public representative should have been given due respect, but it did not happen in the entire event. As a result, the MLA preferred to leave the venue. After coming out of the event, MLA Pandey told a media house that he felt insulted in the event because of the unusual behavior of the officials. It is not for the first time when the Bilaspur MLA is being insulted. Such incidents have happened in several other political and officials events.
It may be mentioned that MLA Pandey was voted to power by the people of Bilaspur, so that he can serve the people. However, the officials are not ready to listen to him when he raise issues related to public interest.
On May 21, the amount of Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojanawas to be transferred to the beneficiary farmers under Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana. MLA Shailesh Pandey was invited to the programme but he was not given importance he deserved for.
MLA Pandey said in a conversation with media on mobile that they called him only to humiliate him. He further said that he will wait and watch for how long he is being insulted. The people of Bilaspur are watching this and they will give befitting reply, said MLA Pandey.
