IITA General Secretary Anil Dhuppar and CGOA general secretary Gurcharan Singh Hora inspects International Tennis Academy

Raipur: Chhattisgarh State Tennis Association general secretary Gurucharan Singh Hora on Monday inspected the international tennis academy being built near Indira Gandhi Agriculture University Raipur.

50 per cent of the construction work has been completed. All India Tennis Association general secretary Anil Dhupar also accompanied Hora. During this, the Deputy Director of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Pranav Singh was present. Anil Dhuppar expressed happiness about the construction work of the academy. He highly appreciated the work being done in the state for promoting tennis.

Meanwhile, the state government has made a provision of Rs 1.70 crore for the set up and equipment of this academy. The academy is being built at a cost of 17 crores. Admin building, hostel building and tennis court are being built here. The ground floor will have waiting rooms, reception, two changing rooms, two halls, parking area, and gym, dining area, waiting area in the first floor and VIP lounge and a seating capacity of 3500 spectators in the second floor. Hostel of 17 rooms for accommodation of players. Seven tennis courts will be built. It will have a center court. The audience gallery will have a capacity of 5000 spectators.
