Health Minister TS Singhdeo’s initiative helps kids with heart diseases.

With State Health Minister TS Singhdeo’s initiative, Chhattisgarh has added another achievement to its increasing health facilities. Seventeen children suffering from heart disease since childhood have received state assistance. Of which 11 children had congenital heart defects, three had closed heart valves, and four needed open-heart surgery. The youngest child is nine months old, and the oldest is nine years. Now all the children are healthy and will get discharged after two days. The children got all these medical facilities free under the government scheme.
Dr Amrita Verma, Dr Shruti and Dr Sahina Khatoon from the Department of Anesthesia handled the children during and after the procedure. Dr Smit Srivastava, Head of Department Cardiology ACI, Dr Jogesh, Assistant Professor, Cardiology ACI, Khem Singh, IP Verma, Naveen Badri and Ashwin Singh as technicians and Anand and Budeshwar were among the nursing staff. Along with this, Dr Anand Vardhan, Dr Prateek Gupta and Dr Gopesh Sidar were present in the ICU with the children.
