Govt school students stages two-hour long sit-in protest in Janjgir, alleges mismanagement in school

Raipur: The students of village Mudpar (B) Government Pre-Secondary School of Janjgir-Champa district staged a two hour long sit-in protest on the road leading from Pamgarh to Janjgir headquarters and raised slogans against the school management. Nearly 60 students of the school participated in the protest raising voices against the mismanagement in school. 

The students alleged mismanagement in the school. There are only 2 teachers for classes VI to VIII, due to which they are not able to study. They said that even the teachers who are there do not reach the school on time. Due to shortage of teachers, their syllabus is also not being completed.

The students said that the school building is also dilapidated, which can become a cause of accidents at any time. If the roof is not repaired, it can collapse at any time. Construction of a boundary wall around the school was in the pipeline, but till now it has not been done. There is not even a bathroom for the girl students.

Pamgarh BEO Rajendra Shukla said that the children staged a sit-in protest about the shortage of teachers, which has been resolved after persuasion. In addition, a teacher has also been appointed. He said that some complaints have also been received regarding the mid-day meal, which will be resolved soon.
