Four more hospitals in Chhattisgarh got NQAS certification.

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate to four more government hospitals in Chhattisgarh. These include two hospitals in the Dhamtari district and one each in Durg and Raigarh. The Union Health Ministry has issued NQAS certificates to Gedara and Gadadih Health and Wellness Center (HWC) sub-health centres in the Dhamtari district, Aheri Health and Wellness Center sub-health centres in Durg and Rambhata Urban Primary Health Center in Raigarh.

Gadadih Sub Health Center received 94%, Gedara Sub Health Center received 90%, Rambhata Urban Primary Health Center received 90%, and Aheri Sub Health Center received 87% in the Government of India team’s evaluation of various hospital parameters. So far, a total of 61 hospitals in the state have been awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate. These include ten district hospitals, seven community health centres, 26 primary health centres, 13 urban primary health centres and five sub-health centres.

A team from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare evaluates hospitals on 12 parameters for National Quality Assurance Standard certification. This includes parameters such as service delivery quality, patient satisfaction, clinical services, inputs, infection control, support services, quality management, and outputs. The Government of India only issues quality certificates to hospitals that pass the evaluation.
