CM Baghel instructs to dissolve inactive Gauthan committees

Raipur: In the meeting held at Hasaud in Jaijaipur block of Sakti district today, chief minister Bhupesh Baghel said in his address to the officers that Sakti is a new district, and people here are excited to witness the development journey of this new district. And as the first batch of officers of this newly-formed district, they should work with enthusiasm and dedication to ensure that the people here get all kinds of benefits of government schemes. 

Chief minister chaired the aforementioned meeting during his Bhent-Mulaqat visit to Hasaud today.

Baghel said that both officers and people should be well-aware of the government schemes. Sakti district has an immense potential for development. 

He directed the officials to hold camps at gram panchayat level to resolve the problems of farmers and villagers. Cases of nomination, partition, Khatauni should be resolved on time, benefits of Rajiv Gandhi Nyay Yojana should be provided to all the landless rural laborers. Baghel found during the tour that there is a lack of awareness in the area about the schemes and programmes of the government. Officers were directed to create public awareness through munadi and personal contact. Not a single eligible person should be deprived of the benefits of the scheme.

Baghel gave instructions to issue caste certificates in English language to remove the scope of error in caste certificates; orders for the same have already been issued. This will solve the problem of spelling errors. He said that cow dung procurement should be commenced in all the Gauthans. No registered farmer and cattle rearer should be deprived of the benefit of Gauthan. 

Baghel spoke about the report of 32 farmers not having received the compensation for the land acquired for construction of Semaria bridge, and directed that the administration resolve this issue on priority and ensure that the farmers get the said amount. He gave instructions for rectification of the problems of Chapora power substation.

Baghel said that the kosa fabric business is really taking off in Sakti district and a large number of people have got employment and livelihood due to the same. On being informed that the weavers’ committees are facing shortage in supply of Kosa fruit, the chief minister said that Kosa fruits will be ordered from Bastar and other parts of the state and would be made available to the weavers. 

In response to the farmers’ complaint of random dumping of fly ash, chief minister said that the power plants should ensure proper disposal of fly ash. This harms the farmers’ fields as well as the environment. He directed Collector Sakti to ensure environment friendly arrangements by holding meetings of plant owners.
