CM Baghel inaugurates the biggest art gallery of Chhattisgarh in Khairagarh

Raipur: Chhattisgarh’s rich history,customs,tradition and nature have always been key aspects in the aesthetic folk art that has been created in the state over the years. To treasure and promote folk art of the state,Chhattisgarh’s biggest art gallery  was inaugurated by the chief minister Bhupesh Baghel today at Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh. 

In this grand and magnificent art gallery of Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, artworks prepared by the students of the university have been kept for exhibition. Excellent artworks created by the students of the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture, Graphics, Craft and Design and Folk Music and Arts of the University have been put up for display.

After the inauguration of the grand and magnificent art gallery, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and other dignitaries visited the exquisite artefacts present here.

Meanwhile, on the instructions of the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chandrakar and as per the wishes of CM Baghel, this art gallery was dedicated to the world famous artist, folk painter of Surguja district, Late Sonabai Rajwar. The art gallery has been named  after her.
