CM Baghel immediately approves road construction on the request of village youth
Raipur: Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel is known for providing quick resolution of the problems of the public. People witnessed one such scenario in Nawapara (A) village of Raigarh district during his meet and greet programme today. A youth Surendra Kumar told the Chief Minister about the difficulties being faced by school-going children of Sodekala village due to lack of proper road infrastructure. The students are forced to walk in mud paths to reach school. He urged him to get a proper road built for the convenience of these children. Addressing the request immediately, Baghel gave approval for road construction.
Similarly, on the demand of the NTPC Lara project affected unemployed youth, the Chief Minister said that I had also shown my support in your struggle and now came to know that some people have even got jobs. Directions will be given to the NTPC officials concerned to immediately provide employment to the eligible people.
Meanwhile, Baghel on Thursday resumed his mammoth public interaction drive–Bhent Mulaqat Abhiyan–after a pause of a few months from Nawapara (A) of Raigarh district. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he said that unprecedented development has taken place in the state in the last three and a half years. Many decisions have been taken in the interest of the poor, farmers, and women. Everyone should take advantage of the same.
He added that the number of cooperative societies has increased to about 2000 which was earlier just 1300 in the view of convenience of farmers. The Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana has boosted the morale of farmers of the state. Paddy procurement has increased to a record 98 lakh metric tonnes, which was 70 lakh metric tonnes 3.5 years back. He also underlined the importance of Godhan Nyay Yojana in strengthening the rural economy.
The Chief Minister said that 400 more Atmanand schools would be opened in Chhattisgarh on the demand of the people. At present, quality education is being provided to lakhs of children in 279 Atmanand schools across the state.
Farmer Basant Kumar told the Chief Minister that I have received two installments of Rs 94,000 each under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. Along with this, a rebate of Rs 9,194 has been given in the electricity bill so far. My loan of Rs 70,000 has also been waived off. Chief minister made a quip and asked him to buy something for his daughter-in-law as well.
Lal Kumar Patel lauded the Godhan Nyay Yojana. He said that he sells cow dung worth Rs 36,000 every month. Mrityunjay Kumar told the Chief Minister about the benefits he got from Hariyali Yojana. “I have planted 5000 teak trees and will get a profit of about Rs 4 crores after 15 years. I have got the benefit of Rs 32, 300 under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana as well”, he said. The Chief Minister asked him to get the details of the plants recorded so that there will be no problem in selling the trees in the future.
