Raipur: Chhattisgarh has topped the list of states for online disposal of public grievances. In the meeting of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) of the Government of India, Chhattisgarh has been appreciated for this achievement. Chhattisgarh topped by resolving 97 per cent of the applications received in CPGRAMS, a portal made by the Government of India for redressal of public grievances. The state government has also been appreciated for ‘quality redressal’. Out of 62, 738 applications received in the last five years till June 3, 2022, 60, 998 applications have been disposed off.
For speedy redressal of public grievances, frequent meetings are taken by the Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh and necessary guidelines are given to the departmental officers. Every day from 12 noon to 1 pm, a hearing is conducted through video conferencing to resolve the registered cases. For this, eight district headquarters are connected with the state ministry through video conferencing every day. In the hearing session, applicants from remote districts are also expressing their grievances. The Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) is an online portal to lodge grievances.
Applications received are transferred online to the respective state governments. The cases of this portal are reviewed from time to time by the DARPG of the Government of India and the Prime Minister’s Office. This information has been given by the Government of India during the ‘Review meeting of all the States’.
