Under the scheduled time, the train left for Raipur and Durg at 1:35 pm. A total of 215 passengers boarded the train. During this, hundreds of people of the area, public representatives and officers were present.

MP Mohan Mandavi said that the Antagarh-Raipur/Durg passenger train has started from today. The people of the area will get a big benefit from the commencement of this train. He has demanded from the Railways that night halting of this train should be done in Antagarh only. Train timings should be changed from 1.35 pm to morning time, which will benefit the people. Police officials have been asked to remain vigilant for the security of the train and the station.

Siraj Khan, a resident of Antagarh, who made the first journey by this train, said that after a long wait, the train has finally been started. The good thing is that while traveling from Antagarh to Raipur by private buses they had to pay Rs 200 to 300 as fare, now the fare will be only Rs 65 in this train. This will also save their time. Travelers will reach Durg in just 2.30 hours and Raipur in about 3 hours.
