10 players from Chhattisgarh Kalaripayattu selected for Khelo India Games.

The 4th Khelo India Youth Games, organized by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, Government of India, begins from June 4 to 13, 2022, at Panchkula, Haryana. In the Youth Games, the Kalaripayattu game is all set to start from June 10 to 12. In the said competition, ten players (six girls and four boys) Priya Singh Bhadauria, Misha, Brij Kishore (all Korba), Usha Chaudhary, Priyanshu, Sadhike Dubey (all Balod), Kanishka Shrivas Raipur, Manish Sahu Durg, from Kalaripaytu game from Chhattisgarh, Sumit Rajput Bilaspur and Yashwant Pandey Bastar will take part. Kamlesh Devangan is the coach, and T. Lingraj Reddy and Harbansh Kaur are the managers.
Pre National Coaching Camp for all players is organized under the joint aegis of the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare, Raipur and Chhattisgarh Kalaripayattu Association at Saraswati Shishu Mandir Hall, Devendra Nagar, Raipur. Chhattisgarh Kalaripayattu team will leave for Panchkula Haryana on June 7 by Chhattisgarh Express.
Before leaving for Panchkula, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Umesh Patel and Chhattisgarh Olympic Association’s General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Hora met and gave blessings to the players. General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Hora took photographs with everyone and encouraged them to bring medals for Chhattisgarh.
