In the 36th National Games, Chhattisgarh’s Akarshi Kashyap brought laurels to the name of Chhattisgarh by winning the gold medal in badminton women’s singles. In the women’s singles semi-final on Wednesday, Akarshi defeated Tanya Hemant 21-13, 21-15 to secure a place in the title match, where she has now defeated Malvika of first-class Maharashtra to win the finals. In the women’s singles final, she defeated Malvika Bansod of Maharashtra 21-08, 22-20.
Akarshi Kashyap is India’s number one and the world’s number 57. The entire state of Chhattisgarh is proud of her. Akarshi Kashyap, 21, excelled in the Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. She has put himself in the same league as players like Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu.

Apart from winning a medal in the Commonwealth, titles like National Champion Under 15 Singles and National Champion twice in Under 17 and 19 are in Akarshi’s account. She has also won Gold Medal in Khelo India, Gold Medal in Asian Games and a Bronze Medal in Bahrain International Challenge. Akarshi Kashyap has now won 50 gold medals, 23 silver medals, and 15 bronze medals.
