CM Baghel to lead in Patan
Raipur:Chhattisgarh Congress is taking out Azadi KiGaurav Yatra on August 9 to mark the 75thanniversary celebration of Azadi Ka amritMahotsav. As per the schedule, the Congressmen will organise 75-km ‘padyatra’. Preparations at assembly constituency level isgaining momentum for the event following the order of party’s Chhattisgarh in-charge P L Punia. Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) president Mohan Markam has appointed in-charges in all assembly constituencies.
Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel will led the ‘padyatra’ in his home constituency Patan, Markam in Kondagaon and speaker Dr Charandas Mahant in Sakti. Similarly, home minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, agriculture minister Ravindra Choubey and health minister T S Singhdeo will be the in-charge of Durg Rural, Saja and Ambikapur respectively.
State Congress spokesperson Sushil AnandShukla said that only people of the country and Congress party have the rights to celebrate the 75th anniversary of independence. BJP has no moral to celebrate it, rather the party should repent it. The predecessors of BJP worked as ‘dalal’ of British rulers when people of the country led by Mahtama Gandhi, Sardar VallabhBhai Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru were fighting for freedom, he said.
