Ghulam Nabi Azad’s resignation from Congress: Singhdeo says everyone has their own choice 

Azad must have felt that there was no space for him in the party now

Impact of senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad’sresignation from the party could be felt in Chhattisgarh with state’s Health Minister T S Singhdeo saying Azad has his own choice. He might be feeling that there was no place left for him in the party, said Singhdeo. Azad’s contribution to the party has been immense, said Singhdeo, adding Azad has also served as the chief minister very sensitive state of Jammu & Kashmir.

Singhdeo said that everyone has some ambition. Azad had been vocal for a long time and he had been putting the party affairs on the public platform every now and then. Yet the party did not take any action keeping in mind his stature and dignity, Singhdeo said, adding the high command had shown a lot of restraint on him.

At the same time, Singhdeo said that everyone can have a different opinion, but the expression should be within the limits, should be on a forum. Azad should have discussed  the issues with party. While resigning today, Azad targeted many leaders including Rahul Gandhi fiercely. He alleged Rahul Gandhi the reason for the destruction of the Congress.

Finally, Azad has resigned from the Congress party on Friday. Azad has questioned the current policies of the Congress by resigning from all the posts and membership of the party. Some reports claimed that Azad will form a new party. The letter of his resignation sent to the interim president of the party, Sonia Gandhi, is of five pages. The toughest statement is about RahulGandhi. Azad has said him the reason for the ruin of the Congress.
