Will vary from Rs 6 to 8.5 lakh in MD-MS
The Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee of Chhattisgarh has fixed the fee for post graduate courses in private medical colleges and various pharmacy courses in private colleges of the state. According to information, fee will be vary between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 8.5 lakh for PG courses in the private medical colleges. These colleges have been asked not to charge any extra fee from the students other than the prescribed rate.
A meeting of the committee was held in Raipur on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Prabhat Kumar Shastri, chairman of the Committee.
The fee for engineering and pharmacy courses of many private colleges was also fixed during the meeting. According to Shastri, two private medical colleges of the state had not submitted application for fixation of fees for some of their post graduate courses. Because of this, admission in those courses was banned.
Now both those colleges have applied. The full details have not yet been given to the committee. Even after this, in view of the interest of the students, a resolution was passed to fix the interim fee for MD-MS courses. In the meeting B. Pharmacy, D. Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy, ME/MTech, MCA and PhD (Engineering) fees have also been fixed.
MD (Anaesthesiology) will cost Rs.6 lakh, MD (Dermatology)Rs 7 lakh, MD (General Medicine) Rs 6 lakh, MS (General Surgery) Rs.6 lakh, MD (Obstetrics & Gynecology) Rs.6 lakhs, MS (Ophthalmology) Rs.6 lakhs, MS(Orthopedics) Rs.6 lakhs, MS (Otorhinolaryngology) Rs.6 lakhs, MD (Pediatrics) Rs.6 lakhs, MD(Psychiatry) Rs.6 lakhs, MD (Radiodiagnosis) Rs 8.50 lakh, MD (Respiratory Medicine) Rs 7 lakh, MD(Pharmacology) Rs Rs.6 lakhs, MS(Ophthalmology) Rs.6 lakhs.
According to the committee, B pharmacy will cost Rs 32, 950 per semester. The fee for D. Pharmacy is Rs 52, 500 per semester, M. Pharmacy will cost Rs 53, 400 per semesterwhereas PhD (Engineering) will cost Rs 32, 875 per semester, for ME/M.Tech the fee will be Rs 30,350 per semester. At the same time, the fee of Rs 30, 250 has been fixed for every semester of MCA.
The Committee has made it clear to the colleges not to charge any extra fee from the students. If extra charges are taken, then legal action will be taken on this.
