Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday held meetings with ministers of various departments including finance to discuss election year budget to be presented in March this year during the budget session of the Chhattisgarh assembly. Final provisions of the budget will be made during the meetings over the next two days. Budget session is likely to be held after Holiin March.
The ministers with whom Chief Minister Baghel held meeting on Saturday include commerce and industries minister KawasiLakhma, women and child development minister Anila Bhendia, PHE minister Rudra Guru, urban administration and development minister Dr Shiv Kumar Dahariya and schooleducation minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam. Keeping in view the assembly election this year end, budget will be a people’s friendly.
Instead of reading the traditional budget book, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who also holds rhe finance portfolio, will make budget announcements from laptop or other digital medium. With this, he will be the first Chief Minister of the Congress in the state, who will present the fifth consecutive budget.
