Raipur: The state government is gearing up for the successful organization of the second edition of the National Tribal Dance festival to be organized in the state capital from October 28 to 30.
The grand dance festival will be organized at the Science College ground in Raipur with an aim of preserving, promoting, and providing a platform to the tribal culture in Chhattisgarh at the national level. Preparations for the fest are in full swing. The work of setting up of main function stage for the National Tribal Dance Festival and other programs and the stalls for the different departments is being done at a very fast pace.
Folk artists from Chhattisgarh and almost all the tribal-dominated states of the country and also from abroad will participate in the fest. The culture department has released a duty order for the successful organization of this grand fest.
Artists from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Goa, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura have agreed to come and participate in the fest. Apart from this, artists from 8 different countries have also agreed to participate.
Separate in-charge and assistant in-charge officers have been appointed for all the zones by dividing them into 7 zones for the accommodation, transportation arrangements, and other related works of the artists and team heads of these different states.
