Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announces innovative “Urban-Rural Industrial Park” to empower Chhattisgarh’s youth

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced the establishment of an “Urban-Rural Industrial Park” to provide employment opportunities to the youth in both urban and rural areas. The move is similar to the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park set up in rural areas to support small industries.
The Chief Minister delivered these remarks during the annual festival and medal distribution program of the Government Digvijay Autonomous Postgraduate College of Rajnandgaon. He congratulated and wished the college students a bright future, emphasizing the many possibilities during student life.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the rich cultural heritage of the Rajnandgaon district, which is well-known for its art and literature. He praised the contributions of litterateurs Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh, Padumlal Punnalal Bakshi, and Dr Baldev Prasad Mishra, who have brought laurels to the district. Furthermore, the Chief Minister waived the fees for competitive exams for the youth and established the Swami Atmanand English Medium School to provide quality education in English to students from weaker sections.
The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to recognize the meritorious students of the college and the winners of various competitions by distributing medals. Responding to the demand of the students, he announced Rs. 50 lakh for the construction of a compound in the college and Rs. 10 lakhs for the levelling of the playground. Additionally, he stated that budgetary provisions would be made for parking and other infrastructure shortly.
Several distinguished guests attended the event, including the Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Rural and Other Backward Classes Areas Development Authority, Daleshwar Sahu, MLA from Khujji Chhanni Sahu, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Endyavasayi Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation Dhanesh Patila, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission Jitendra Mudaliar, and Chairman of the District Cooperative Central Bank Maryadit.
