Unique initiative of Chhattisgarh Traffic Police to ensure smooth traffic

Raipur:The Traffic wing of the Police Headquarters (PHQ) has initiated a special initiative to ensure smooth traffic in Chhattisgarh. In this sequence, the first batch of 120 traffic police personnel were imparted training at the newly established Institute of Driving and Traffic Research

Institute Governing  Body member and AIG Traffic  Sanjay Sharma said in his welcome address that the traffic police personnel will be acquainted with the rules in the light of the legal complexities associated, amendments in the Motor Vehicle Act in the week long training programme. 

Chief guest Additional Director General of Police PradeepGupta administered the oath of road safety to all the trainees and gave a message to all the trainees to learn the rules thoroughly and focus on practical problems of traffic and how to overcome


Joint Director of Training Institute Amit Gupta apprised that the training will address the issues related to stress and better traffic handling on the road besides the traffic personnel will also be trained in soft skills, in which they will be given communication skills, listening skills, etc. 

Tips for solving problems with team work, leadership qualities will also be given. Very interesting games will be included during the training to make them learn by fun. With this, the trainee undergoing training will be better in traffic handling and will help in controlling road accidents.

It is worth mentioning that the Institute of Driving and Traffic Research, built at a cost of Rs 17 crore, was started by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on December 9, 2021. Vehicle training has also started in the institute.
