Raipur:Top bureaucrats of the state, including secretaries from the Secretariat, Naya Raipur, have jumped into the field following an instruction from the Chief Minister, BhupeshBaghel, to ensure proper arrangements at the paddy procurement centres of the state. 

To be mentioned, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain had visited several paddy procurement centers in Raipur district on the opening day on December 1. Secretary level officers visited different centres of the state on Thursday. 

Divisional Commissioners, Inspector General of Police, Collectors and Superintendents of Police also reached the collection centers and assessed the arrangements at the centres. They gave necessary directions for improvement. Feedback is also being obtained by the officials after discussing with the farmers.


Principal Secretary of Forest Department Manoj Pingua inspected the paddy procurement centers of Balrampur-RamanujganjManinderKaur Dwivedi, Principal Secretary, Village Industries Department in Mahasamund district, Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, Public Works Department and Secretary to Chief Minister in Durg district, Rita Shandilya, Secretary, Department of Technical Education in Bemetara and Mungeli districts, Kota in Bilaspur district. Inspector General of Police, Bilaspur Range, Ratanlal Dangi and Senior Superintendent of Police, Deepak Jha took stock of various paddy procurement centers in the district.


Raipur Collector Saurabh Kumar, Inspector General of Police Anand Chhabra and Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Kumar Agrawal inspected the paddy procurement works at the development block headquarter Abhanpur. The officials asked to do the works related to maintenance and transportation on priority. They asked to develop such a system that small and marginal farmers should not face any problem in selling paddy. They also asked to take special care of the quality of paddy, arrangement of gunny bags, maintenance, safety, lifting and quality etc.

In Koriya district, Collector Shyam Dhawadeand Inspector General of Police, SurgujaRange, Ajay Yadav took information about gunny bags, weighing, roster etc. from the officials of Jampara and Sarbhoka committee of Baikunthpur. The office bearers of both the committees weighed the paddy after checking the quality and moisture content of the paddy. Surguja Collector Sanjeev Kumar Jha and Superintendent of Police Amit TukaramKamble inspected four paddy procurement centers of Lundra development block and took stock of the arrangements. During this, he inspected the DhaurpurDoomerdihSahanpurand Sasauli centers of Lundra development block adjoining Balrampur district. He enquired about the arrangements in all these centers.
