Scorching Summer leads to change in school hours.
Raipur. The scorching sun in Raipur is bothering the elders as well as the children. Given this, now the timings of the schools have been changed. District Education Officer AN Banjara has issued a directive regarding this. According to the latest instructions, from March 29, classes will be held in schools according to the new time. Morning classes will now be held from 7.30 am to 11.30 am instead of 8. Where the school operates in two shifts, the primary and middle classes will run from 7.30 to 11.30 and the high school and higher secondary classes will run from 11.30 to 4.30.
Earlier the timings were changed in April due to increase in heat. Here, according to the information received from the Meteorological Department, the mercury can go up to 38 to 41 degree Celsius in the coming 7 days. Due to this the timings of the schools have been changed. This instruction will be applicable to government and all private schools.
Summer holidays reduced
The summer vacations have been reduced. The session will start from May 1. Classes will be held till May 14. There will be a summer vacation from May 15 to June 15. Previously, the summer vacation was from 1st May to 15th June. The new session used to start from 16th June.
